Metro Mix

I had a phone Q&A with Caroline Ryder from Metro Mix yesterday. Overall I think it went really well. I am super excited about it!! It wasn't supposed to be up yet but I guess the editor really dug it so they put it up on the site today! Check it out!!!

Other than that, work has been slow. Its either me going nonstop or nothing. Just to keep everyone up to date. I styled a show during Fashion Week. It was for Jeffrey Sebelia's line Cosa Nostra. Here is the review that I found on Vogue (click here) along with some pictures that in house photographers took.

And now for some behind the scenes.....

Just wanted to thank Kimmy, Jazzi and Danielle for helping me out on that crazy day! I know that shows might now seem like they take that much prep.... but let me tell you that they totally do! Not only did we do the casting but it took a good 4 days of prepping until 4am to have the show be a total success!
Hope you enjoy....

It never ends.....

I know its been a while... more like over a month since i have last updated this thing. i have been crazy with shoot after shoot and video after video. alot of things are brewing up for this week... as you all know the Emmy's are on right now. I dressed the lovely deeley, and once again she looked stunning! i have pictures of her from today as well as behind the scenes from the shoot i did with the top 10 kids from "SYTYCD". I also worked on the coheed and cambria video which was totally awesome and some press stuff with the Miss J. Stone.

In case you all didnt get to see the finale for SYTYCD.... This is how Cat ended the season.

And here is the final group picture for Season 3 of SYTYCD.

The SYTYCD tour is around the corner now... literally. The Top 14 leave tomorrow and start off their adventure in Albany, NY. In total they go to 50 cities in about 2.5 months. Soyon is doing the wardrobe for the tour and she has done a fantastic job. I think it would be a total blast to do a tour. Maybe thats something that i can work on for next year.

Coming soon:
Coheed and Cambria (behind the scenes), PB&J video, Spill Canvas Video, Photo shoot with Fashion Photographer Darren Ankenman

p.s. i might get to meet banksy on tues... xo

M.I.A.

Another recap on what i have been working on since the last post I did. Work seems to never slow down these days... I haven't even had a chance to sit down and actually update my blog, but now i have a chance to breathe.
So...
Dance is now coming to an end which makes me really sad. I don't know what I'm going to do after the show is over. There are only 3 episodes left and I have no clue as to who is going to end up in the finale. I'm so use to going to set and seeing the kids that I think its gonna be a weird change for me. I do however know that Cat's finale dress is going to be amazing... you can check it out next Thursday on Fox. If you haven't been watching the show, you are totally missing out! Here are some of my favorite dresses she has worn this season.

Besides from dance, I dressed Malese Jow, aka my long lost little sister who basically reminds me of myself when i was 16... not to mention we have the same name! Pretty ironic i think... Anyway, I dressed her for the Bratz Premiere that was on the 29th of July. She was just such a sweetheart to work with! If I could claim her as my little sister i would.... Here is a pic of her at the premiere ....
Last Friday I worked with my best friend Billy on a Kellogg's commericial for Corn Pops. So much fun! Billy and Brett are geniuses and will be taking over the commercial world as the new young directors in Hollywood. I am sure of it! The last job I did with them was for a Superbowl commercial for Doritos. We were the top finalists and it was amazing... here is a clip.
If you don't think this is funny then I don't know what is.....

I think big things are going to happen this year for them, and hopefully for me as well. The Kellogg's commercial airs this Saturday I believe so keep your eyes out for it! Its pretty funny if you ask me... Once it airs Ill put the link up to the site so everyone can see it.

I finished the week off on Saturday with a promo gig for Peter Bjorn and John. From what i grasped this too will be pretty funny! A bunch of hipsters doing labor work whistling to the young folks song? not too bad...

This week is pretty nuts... Just trying to figure out how I'm gonna prep the next 3 jobs i have lined up....
as of right now I'm booked for the next 16 days, so once again, i will be MIA.

Coming soon:
Avenged Sevenfold Video
Coheed and Cambria Video
So you think you can dance shoot with the kids...
not to mention the dance finale!!!!

You all better be voting because the judges have no say so from this point on!

I promise all of you that the next post will have more behind the scenes from past jobs...

the end.

My Fairy Tale...

Friday's shoot for Issue 1 was probably one of the most amazing days of my life. we shot at the most beautiful location that was honestly like heaven. The park had lots of wildlife including peacocks and gorgeous trees. Amy and John D did the makeup and hair, and Ryan and Jazzi assisted me. The day started off slow, but towards the end we got all the shots we needed and it came out so beautiful!
Here are some behind the scene photos from the shoot on Friday that i did with the Wendy Hall.

I think the pictures are gonna be totally amazing once Wendy is finished with them. The end product will have a romantic soft feel to each of the pictures. Here is one final shot with Alena so you get a feel as to what I'm talking about...
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
The whole day was just such an amazing success and I am so glad that I have such a talented team that always pushes me to the end. work just seems to be going nonstop all the time and I'm so happy about it. If the pictures above inspire you... go check out the store The Way We Wore... It has some of the best pieces of vintage i have seen in a long time! I got most of the pieces from there, along with various LA showrooms.

Next jobs include:
So you think you can dance- Monday and Thursday
Idiot Pilot video
National Product video
Press junket shoot on Sunday
Etc. etc. etc.
Everyday before and after... pulling as much as a can for the Sunday Job.
